UConn redshirt junior TE Mark Hansson will not be a part of the football program for the 2013 season.
With the Huskies top tight end Ryan Griffin departing to the NFL, Hansson had a chance to claim a position in the starting lineup. The latter's time away from the program is due to undisclosed reasons, but there is a chance Hansson rejoins the club after this year.

UConn announced on Sunday that quarterback/wide receiver Scott McCummings sustained an Achilles tendon injury over the weekend and will miss the entire season recovering.
