Thinking about running with the Gophers in our OD...looking at rivals it has starting QB Adam Weber and Marques Grey as a starting WR?....forgive me as I have no history with Minnesota, did Weber get kicked off the team? He is not showing on the team builder site that I can see?

Yeah, Weber graduated, Gray is now all but named the starter.

Senior CB #5 Johnny Johnson (5-9, 202) is Stoudermire's backup.

Also highly doubt Beal will take Tinsley's Mike position, more likely to swap out with Rallis and Tinsley depending on run/pass situation (Rallis is the coverage LB, Beal and Tinsley are more run stuffers) Cooper is staying at the Will, and it will either be Rallis or Beal in the Sam, and Tinsley or Beal at the Mike, if that makes sense.

Freshmen QB #?? Max Shortell (6-6 215lbs) from Shawnee Mission, Kan. will also be in the mix at backup QB this year. As far as I know he hasn't gotten an assigned number.

I'll have to look at the OL a bit more to see if you are missing anyone.

I know you probably have him on the roster but I am seeing a lot of these rushed rosters don't have Kim Royston on the team.

I know I keep posting here.. I've been working on my Minnesota roster while in the process of waiting for Luv (which is fine.. Take your time buddy!) and have been using this roster/depth chart as my guideline. I noticed a missing RB.

RB #20 Donnell Kirkwood 5-10, 215 RS freshman from Delray Beach, FL.

Behind Bennett, Minnesota will most likely use a RB by committee approach to their running game as coach Kill has used that type of offense at NIU. Kirkwood will be definitely getting some reps along with Edwards and Bennett. Unless another RB shows up big during 2-a-days.

Tinsely is Minnesota's best LB and will be starting at MLB for now. He could move outside if Beal cracks the starting lineup but Kill still feels he is too "stiff" right now.

Max Shortell #11 6-6 215 FR from Kansas is getting reps with first and second team and is challenging Parrish for the second spot.

The gophers Depth Chart will be tough until we see them play the first game but looks pretty good from the earlier post.

QB 12 Moses Alipate has not been getting many reps and should be dropped down to 65.

QB Shortell (actually 11 not 10 but stoudamire is also 11) is getting ALOT of reps with first and second team. He could get a boost to 68-72. Hes also does not have bad feet could use a little boost in speed and acceleration.

WR Marcus Jones is a speedster and could use a bump in speed 90-92. No bump in rating however.

Brock Vereen (72-75ovr) will be #2 Corner with Michael Carter(71 is good) being the #3 and Kyle Henderson being the Dime back.(Drop down to 70ovr)

CB Cedric Thompson is a project but he could be a decent corner in the future could use a bump up to 60-62

I would change RB Cameron Gatling to DE Michael Amaefula 6-2 235 TX. Was a 3 star recruit, speed rusher. I would say his OVR would be 62-65.

I would also say that DE Ben perry could use a ratings
bump 62-65.

Other than that, very nice job!

Some small changes to make regarding the gophers after my last post.

RB Cobb is really turning heads in practice and will get some reps for sure. I would make him a 70-72 OVR

DE Ben Perry looks like he will be the starter. Bump to 68-70

Shady Salamon #29 5-11 202 looks like he will be the starting SS this year to start out. Remove CB Cedric Thompson if there is no space to add him. I would make him about the same OVR as James Manuel who could take over later in the year.

Good stuff mjarz!

I know I mentioned that Ed Cotton was the Gophers FB, but apparently they moved him out to WR due to lack of depth and because they want a bigger FB.

Minnesota's current FB/H-back they are using is #30 Mike Henry 6-2, 240lbs from Mahtomedi, MN

(TE) John Rabe is #81
(RG) Josh Campion is #65
(DT) Eric Jacques has #62, not #65 (same as LG Zach Mottla)
(WR) Marcus Jones has #15, not #8
(RT) Jimmy Gjere has #76, not #66
(RT) Sean Ferguson has #70
(PK) Chris Hawthorne has #7 not #36

Henry's age is Sophomore, and since Mahtomedi isn't in the game, White Bear Lake should be good enough (although I'm sure it'll upset some Mahtomedi fans).
