Freshmen HB Default Ratings
These look really good. EA did a good job of getting the tendencies right for most of these guys.
Couple Notes:
--De'Anthony Thomas is an all purpose stud. He could play HB or Slot in Oregon's scheme. Also could play CB.
--Savon Huggins could use a little more love. He'll probably be the starter for Rutgers.
--James Wilder might be a better OLB prospect than HB. He needs some defensive ratings bumps. Rodney Coe also needs LB ratings.

Any word where Thomas will be playing? That backfield is loaded.

No official word yet, but some Oregon insiders expect a Josh Huff type of role. Backfield is super loaded with James, Barner and Seastrunk. I'd expect Thomas to play their slot, hybrid role while also returning kicks.

Re: True Freshmen HBs
Interesting question on Thomas....The Oregon HB spot is loaded, he may play a Tazar type role, HB/WR...He is too gifted not to see the field this season, especially in KO/P return role...I think his best position may be CB....and with the uncertainty of Cliff Harris availability, due to off field issues, DAT could see him getting some time there?

Re: True Freshmen HBs
Right now he would be most valuable in the secondary as you said. I just think they want to get the ball in his hands as much as possible. Ted Ginn all over again lol.

I agree, and hope the Ginn comparison works out

Re: True Freshmen HBs
Hopefully Thomas's teammates don't tackle him after his first TD and hurt his leg like Ginn in the 2007 National Championship...I'll never forget that

Re: True Freshmen HBs
That was a definite turning point in the game....I never agreed with teammates jumping on the player that just scored....I'm surprised more players don't get injured that way.
Re: True Freshmen HBs
I dont get it how can two players be ranked by all recruiting services close to the same and be ranked so diffrently on the game......example:
D Hart of Bama is a 80 over all, Huggins, Green, Sims, and Blakely are all just as highly touted and they are all 73 and below... IMO they should all be 77+ they are all top 10 FR RBS. Typical EA team Byais, put any of those RB's on Bama or Texas and EA would have made them 80's.
