True Freshmen Default DLine Ratings
Notes:
--Clowney is head and shoulders above everyone and I think that's the way it should be. His ratings are actually more of a DT type skillset, and I wonder if he should have his STR and TAK lowered a bit to add more ACC, and FIN to get his pass rushing skills to stand out. 86 BSH is really high too.
--Anthony Johnson needs some love. He'll probably see significant time in LSU's DT rotation this year. Listed as quickest and best pass rushing DT by Rivals.
--I highlighted the 4 guys who have 90+ ACC. Once again, Clowney should probably be in this class.
--Lynch could use a ratings bump too. He is listed as Rivals' strongest DE. He should be up around 80.
--Some key players missing in Jernigan, Pagan and Jackson
--DTs in Red

Just curious, are you listing Curt Maggitt at DE or OLB?

I'm just going by Phil Steele's positions lists, and he has Maggitt as the #42 DLineman. I decided not to split up DEs and DTs. I'm just trying to get a baseline for where the top 20-25 guys are in each position grouping so the other 4* and 3* star guys can fall in line.
Sounds like Maggitt should have an explosive first step and may be a pass rushing factor early. Where does Tennessee plan on playing him?

Ok, I knew you were going by Steele but I didn't know where he had Maggitt.Palo20 wrote:volstopfan14 wrote:Just curious, are you listing Curt Maggitt at DE or OLB?

It looks like Maggitt may be listed as a LB but I'm sure his primary role will be rushing the passer, whether that be from a 3 point stance or standing up.

I agree with Clowney. Guy moves like a wideout.
