Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads announced Saturday that JUCO transfer Steele Jantz will be the team's starting quarterback against Northern Iowa in two weeks.

Rhoads said Jantz "clearly" emerged as the number one guy over Jerome Tiller and Jared Barnett, and it's a move that should excite Cyclones' fans. Not only this, but Jantz gets to start off his career as a Cyclone with a favorable matchup against Northern Iowa.
