BCS Executive Salaries
Here's an interesting read about BCS Executives and their pay. This is from the Arizona Republic.

Re: BCS Executive Salaries
Wow....they make all that money and still don't want anyone else to get a piece of that fat ass pie...Got people that aren't even making $20,000 a year.....and they are making half a mil a year for something someone else(The Players) actually does.....but they(The Players) get a free education at a fine institute of higher learning which overcharges for that Degree in the first place....The supposed Customer becomes the servant, and is excluded from all rules, laws, and rights that every other non-scholarship "slob" abides by and are given. But a "Student Athlete" is "Different" and can't even promote themselves, even though the BCS and the TV networks promote the dickens out of the very same Student Athletes.......it's a long road

Man, you covered a lot of ground with that post luv. First, I think by the tone of your post, you think that the executives get paid too much for what they do. I think this is true. They are setting up logistics and staff for an event that revolves around the players. I would attend a BCS game (if I had the money) or watch the game on t.v. if it was held in a high school stadium or dirt lot. The point is the players sell the product, not the execs The thing that gets to me is the non-profit status that these bowl games get. They pay no taxes, and yet the executives earn half-a-mil? Why do the well-off get all the breaks, but it's considered "tough love" or "build character" for us poor folks to struggle to get by. It's frustrating that the invisible hand of the rich even extends to sports and leisure.
