Game 1 Florida International at Arkansas St

Going to let the CPU play the Florida International/Arkansas State...Lets see how well the simulation results mirror tonights real score and results.

Florida International wins the coin toss and elects to receive. #5 Wayne Times returns the opening kick 27 yards. The FIU Offense falters, and they go Three and out, with 3rd down ending with a sack by #79 Gregory McCall. FIU Punter #40 Josh Frisk gets off a 42 yard punt, and Arkansas State's PR Dwayne Frampton returns it for 5 yards.

Arkansas State ball 1st and 10 on their own 46 yard line. Great Field Position for the Arkansas St Offense. On Third Down, QB #16 Ryan Aplin Finds WR #2 Taylor Stockemer streaking behind the FIU defense for a 52 yard touchdown! a 3 play 54 yard opening drive.

#4 TY Hilton takes the kickoff 27 yards to the FIU 26 yard line. 1st and 10 FIU. FIU goes no huddle, but still goes 3 and out.

Arkansas St takes over at their own 27 yard line. Arkansas move the ball with a nice Ryan Aplin run, but two sacks later and their drive has stalled. FIU takes over

FIU 1st and 10 from their own 30. FIU running hurry up again. Yet another 3 and out by the FIU offense, they just cant seem to get anything going against this Red Wolves defense. Josh Brisk with his 3rd punt of the game already.

Red Wolves ball 1st and 10 from their own 28 yard line. 3 and out, with a nice timed screen pass just coming an Inch short of the 1st down.

FIU will start on their own 25 yard line. SR QB Wesley Carroll is 1-4 on the day for only 4 yards. Another 3 and out after getting 9 yards on a nice run by Carroll on 1st down. The Red Wolves Defense would not let them get that last 1 yard and Josh Brisk will get ready for his 4th punt of the day.

Arkansas State 1st and 10 from their 30. The Red Wolves put together a great drive, but QB Ryan Aplin is injured on a nice scramble inside the FIU's 10 yard line. Back up QB Andre Smith comes in and goes 2-2 for 8 yards, finishing up the drive with a nice 8 yard TD toss to SO WR RJ Fleming. 14-0 Arkansas St.

FIU 1st and 10 on their own 24. TY Hilton with a 24 yard return. For some unexplained reason HB Kendrick Rhodes comes out under Center and proceeds to throw an interception to SS Kelcie McCray. It is all Red Wolves in this contest so far, and they smell blood in the water.

Red Wolves in great shape 1st and 10 from the FIU 41 yard line. Ryan Aplin, returning from his earlier injury throws an INT on 1st Down, to FIU CB Sam Miller.

1st and 10 FIU on their own 41, lets see if they can finally get something going. FIU finally gets their 1st 1st down of the game, with Wesley Carroll finding SO WR Willis Wright for 27 yards. END of !st Quarter

2nd Quarter: 1st and 10 on the Arkansas St 35 yard line. Arkansas St's Adrian Hills Comes up with a clutch Int in the End Zone

1st and 10 Arkansas St on their own 20. After moving the ball very nicely, Aplin throws his 2nd INT of the game to SS Jonathan Cyprien.

1st and 10 FIU on their own 22. Wesley Carroll completes a nice pass to TY Hilton along the sidelines, but after a booth review, it was deemed that Hilton's foot was out of bounds. FIU can just not get a break tonight. Another 3 and out for FIU.

Arkansas St's ball 1st and 10 on their own 43 yard line. Although the Red Wolves had great field position, they go 3 and out. A beautiful punt by Neely Sullivent pins the struggling FIU offense on their own 5 yard line.

FIU 1st and 10 from their own 5 yard line. After a nice 10 yard run by Kendrick Rhodes, Wesley Carroll finds TY Hilton down the left side of the field for an 85 yard TD! Hilton caught it around his own 35 yard line and his great speed did the rest. 14-7 Arkansas St.

Arkansas St ball 1st and 10 on their own 31. Aplin's arm guides the Red Wolves into field goal range, and Brian Davis drills a 46 yard FG to extend the Red Wolves lead to 17-7, with 3:45 left in the 1st half.

Wesley Carroll goes right to work coming out in 5wide and completing his 1st 2 passes to move the Panthers into Field Goal Range. JR Kicker, Jack Griffin drills a 50 yarder to pull within a TD, 17-10 Arkansas St.

Ryan Aplin again drives the Red Wolves down the field, he again gets knocked out of the game. Back up Andre Smith again comes in and throws his 2nd TD of the game to Taylor Stockemer for 34 yards. Stockemer with his 2nd catch of the game and 2nd TD as well. 24-10 Arkansas St. 1:35 left in the 1st half.

FIU 1st and 10 from their own 27. FIU puts together a great 2 minute drive, but are stuffed on 4th and inches and turn the ball over to Arkansas St. HALFTIME

Arkansas St, 1st and 10 on their own 27 leading 24-10. Aplin again drives the Red Wolves down the field. Red Wolves inside FIU's 30 yard line after a nice catch and run by JR WR Josh Jarboe.
Aplin Finds JR WR Allen Muse for a 12 yard TD. 31-10 ASU

FIU with a lot of work to do from their own 20. Carroll immediately finds WR Wayne Times down the right sideline for 43 yards. 1st and 10 FIU on the Arkansas St 41. It ain't over yet folks, Carroll hooks up with Hilton again for a 39 yard score..Hilton's 2nd TD of the game. 17-31 Arkansas St.

3 and out by Arkansas St. FIU back in business starting from their own 40. 3 and out FIU

Arkansas St's ball 1st and 10 from their own 28. Frampton muffed the punt but recovered his own misque. Aplin immediately hooks up with Dwayne Frampton for a 70 yard TD bomb. Aplin goes over the 300 yard mark on the day. 38-17 ASU 3:52 left in 3rd qtr.

Sr CB Darryl Feemster Intercepts Carroll's deep pass and returns the ball to the 50 yard line.

1st and 10 ASU on the 50. Aplin again goes deep to Frampton for a 47 yard TD connection! 45-17 ASU.

Another 3 and out for FIU, these game seems to be over. Arkansas St in control from their own 44. ASU gets a 1st down but are then stuffed on 4th down.

FIU 1st and 10 from their own 42. END of 3rd quarter 45-17 Arkansas St. Carroll and company get turned away on 4th down.

ASU 1st and 10 on their own 37. ASU continues to move the ball through the air. Aplin is right on target. The drive stalls however, but not before davis bombs a 49 yard FG, 48-17 ASU.

FIU ball. Carroll is perfect on this drive so far...but it is too little too late. FIU 2 for 16 on 3rd down. On 3rd down Carroll is pressured, then sacked. Carroll coughs the ball up and SR DE Jeremy Gibson scoops the fumble up and rumbles for 61 yards and a defensive score, 55-17 ASU

FIU ball on their own 24. Backup QB Jake Medlock now in for the Panthers for the injured Carroll. Medlock is moving the ball nicely with 2 completions in a row. Medlock is sacked hard and FIU now faces 4th and 20. FIU punts.

Have to change Aplin and Carroll to a balanced QBs...too much running by them..Another problem I see is with the 84 kick power kicker is easily making 50 yard field goals...will have to look into that as well...lets see how real life shakes out now...

34-16 compared to 55-17...not that far off....and Aplin did run alot tonight...A Muse TD, a TY Hilton TD...will have more stats to compare tomorrow...I should have listened to the PS3 sim gods
