[color=blue]WR leaves school[/color
A Texas A&M wide receiver who threw a scare into both his real-life and football families last month has decided to part ways with the program. Whether it’s a permanent departure remains to be seen.
Thomas Johnson, head coach Kevin Sumlin confirmed, has withdrawn from school and is in the process of determining the direction his future, football or otherwise, will take.

Re: Texas A&M news
Backup QB transfers
Very few probably thought Johnny Manziel would win the Texas A&M quarterback job last year, let alone the Heisman Trophy and all the accolades he’s received following the 2012 season. Rather, Manziel was in an open competition last spring with, among others, Jameill Showers.
But Manziel was named the starting QB for the Aggies just before the season, and now Showers has decided to seek playing time somewhere else.
Speaking to Billy Liucci of TexAgs.com, Showers confirmed that he will indeed transfer from the program, although exactly where Showers plans on going is unclear. He should be on track to graduate this summer, so the good news for Showers is that he would have two years of eligibility remaining wherever he went.
