Oregon St picks up transfer DB

defensive back Steven Christian has decided to transfer from Hawaii to Oregon State. As Christian graduated last month, he will be eligible to play immediately for the Beavers in 2012.

Starting slotback gives up football, also other departures, including Neil Lomax's son

Following a decent, yet oft-injured career at Oregon State, wide receiver Jordan Bishop has decided to hang up the cleats for good, the school announced in a press release Thursday evening.

Bishop, a two-sport athlete in football and track, has been dealing with lingering injuries with his ankles and feet. He would have had one year of eligibility remaining and was listed atop the post-spring depth chart at slotback.
