Re: Missouri News
For the second time in less than a year, Tavon Bolden has been given the boot from the Missouri football program.
Presumably, this one will stick.
Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, Dave Matter of the Columbia Tribune reports that the safety has been dismissed yet again, this time for unspecified academic and disciplinary reasons. The school subsequently confirmed Matter’s report that Bolden had been given the boot for disciplinary reasons.
The source told the paper that this dismissal would be permanent.
Last August, Bolden (pictured, No. 10) was dismissed the first time due to academic issues. He had been expected to start in the Tigers’ secondary last season. After returning this spring, he was expected to be a significant contributor to Mizzou’s defense in 2012.
After redshirting his true freshman season in 2009, he played in 13 games in 2010. Thanks to the off-field issues, those will (likely) be the only games he plays in a Mizzou uniform.

Missouri RB headed to a redshirt year
Missouri running back Henry Josey is working on building strength in his left leg and will most likely redshirt in 2012. Josey has had multiple surgies to repair just about everything holding his knee together.

Re: Missouri News
Official now
Missouri junior RB Henry Josey will miss the 2012 season while recovering from his 2011 knee injury in which he suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and patella tendon.
This news is somewhat expected, despite Josey running 100-yard sprints during offseason workouts. As a sophomore last season, he had 1,168 yards rushing with an eye-opening 8.1 yards per carry before his season was cut short. We wonder if he will be granted a medical redshirt for this season and keep his two years of eligibility.

Re: Missouri News
Missouri dismisses freshman DB
It appears that Missouri safety Ka’ra Stewart didn’t learn from his first arrest for marijuana possession.
Stewart, a freshman who redshirted this year, was detained on Nov. 9 for possession of fewer than 35 grams of marijuana. Just over a month later, Stewart was busted again for pot possession, according to multiple media outlets.
University of Missouri police entered Stewart’s dorm room Monday because of marijuana odor coming from the room. Though Stewart told police he was not smoking and did not consent to a search, officers obtained a warrant and found four bags that later tested positive for marijuana.
Stewart was taken to jail and later released on $500 bond. Missouri has since dismissed Stewart from the team.
