Center leaves Ohio St

After serving as Michael Brewster‘s backup the latter part of last season, it was thought that Brian Bobek would replace the center after he left for the NFL.

The post-spring depth chart, however, told a different story that has ultimately ended in a mutual parting of ways.

Following up on quite a bit of speculation regarding Bobek’s status, an Ohio State official confirmed to Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch that the offensive lineman has left the football program. No specific reason for the decision was given for the departure, although the fact that Bobek was not listed on the most recent two-deep depth chart is a rather significant clue.

Ohio State junior DE Adam Bellamy has officially left the football program for personal reasons.

Bellamy entered the fall listed as a starter at defensive end, but was absent for a number of days during offseason activities. "Adam is working through some personal family matters right now and when he gets that taken care of, we will welcome him back with open arms," defensive line coach Mike Vrabel said. Bellamy appeared in every game over the last two seasons.
