“Trent Mackey, a senior from Port Sulphur, Louisiana, has been indefinitely suspended from the Tulane University football team,” a statement from the school read. “The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prohibits the university from providing any additional information regarding disciplinary actions, if any, toward a student.”

Tulane picks up transfer QB

Transferring has been somewhat of a common theme for the Montana family. For Nick Montana, a commitment to Tulane will hopefully be his last.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Montana will enroll at Tulane following one year at Mt. San Antonio College in California where he threw for 2,652 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. Montana will be a junior in 2013. Tulane has not confirmed the report

Tulane picks up transfer from LSU

The Baton Rouge exodus continues unabated Tuesday afternoon, although, admittedly, this tiny slice of attrition doesn’t hurt nearly as much as the others.

Offensive lineman Chris Davenport confirmed to the Baton Rouge Advocate earlier Tuesday that he has decided to leave LSU and will transfer to Tulane to finish his collegiate playing career. As Davenport has already graduated, he will be permitted to play immediately, provided he enrolls in a grad program that’s not offered at LSU.
