Pick up transfer QB from Alabama
Rumors that backup Alabama quarterback Phillip Ely would transfer from the Tide began circulating toward the start of the new year. It would appear those rumors have come to fruition.
Ryan Bass of Bright House Sports reports that Ely will transfer from UA to Toledo, where he will sit out the 2013 season and have two years of eligibility remaining once 2014 begins.
