What does everyone think of the big PS4 news?

well I am always behind when it is getting a new system, so disappointing knowing PS3 will be phased out

I like the price of $399, even though I wont get it until it drops to at least $299. The games looked amazing. I hope the dashboard runs better than it does now, and it looks like it will. I like that you can share and make videos of your games, which is a fantastic thing for dynasties (cheesers and glitchers will be exposed).

Not charging used game fees is a big plus. EA mentioned a month ago that they are not going to charge for the online pass, so even better.

The only bad news is the $4.50 a month charge for the PSN. I dont like that, but its understandable. Yet, if Im going to pay for the PSN, i better be getting all of the DLC's at the same time as the Junk-Box. Also, they better be adding more stuff to the PSN, to make it worthwhile.

If you read the Junk-Box specifics, they are horrible. They have all these stoopid conditions just for playing the game. You have to log in every 24-hours, you always have to be online, you cant share video games without a fee, and the creepy camera is always on and recording your voice (is the government involved with this feature? Illuminati?).

Overall, the PS4 looks amazing, but the fee for PSN is a little disappointing.

I was gonna pre order 1 last night off of amazon ,then I heard you have to pay 60.00 a year just to get online(like xbox). so I think I will wait till next year.

Loved that game...I believe it was the 1st sports game to use real player's names.

This version was the best one, now that I think about it. It had all the teams, and Jack Buck did the play by play.

The day of reckoning is nearing,,,,

I know there will be a time when playing NCAA 14 on the PS3 will come to an end. Right now, I am in 3 online dynasties, playing with guys that I've have been battling since NCAA 10. I am for certain, by this time next year, NCAA 14 will be a distance memory, which is sad, because I've come to know a bunch of fellas that have so much knowledge of the game of CFB, to know that we wont have that common bond to share with one another is kind of sad    

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love playing this version. It's the best version EVER...I'm talking about William Floyd Bar None EVER! You always hear on forums, about how great the PS2 versions were, and how the PS3 versions have been rehashed, buggy pieces of turd (NCAA 12, I'm looking right at you), but I decided to put in NCAA 06 the other day for nostalgia sake, and I have to tell you, I couldn't get out of the first quarter, because the game is so slow and silly looking.

To complicate things, the PS4 was released in November. Over the xmas holidays, I got to play both the PS4 and JunkBoxOne. My two nephews and one niece all got both systems as presents. We played Call of Duty (which sucked), Battlefield 4 (which was nice), and a little game known as Madden 25. As most of you know, I am not a fan of the NFL. I haven't played a Madden game since McNabb was on the cover, and I haven;t purchased a Madden game since Eddie George graced the facade, so playing Madden 25 felt a dirty to me.

After playing Madden 25 for about 4 days straight during the holidays ( I put in a total of 20 hours of Madden gameplay in that time), I was blown away. Madden 25 on the next gen consoles (I played it on the JunkBoxOne) is amazing. The player movement is so damn fluid, the defense is light years ahead NCAA14 (its impossible to play defense in NCAA14), and the graphics were spectacular.

So as you can see, I have a little case of cognitive dissonance. I will purchase a PS4 this coming xmas, that is for sure. I will be getting Destiny, and Call of Duty, that is another certainty. But, will I have the strength and guts to purchase Madden 25? I don't know. I think about Madden 25 and the games I played during xmas, all of the time. Hell, after playing Madden 25 on the next gen consoles, it was EXTREMELY HARD going back to NCAA 14.....almost like the feeling I had playing NCAA 06.

So what do you guys think? Will you be purchasing a next gen console? And if you are, since there will be no NCAA in the foreseeable future, will you be buying Madden 25? It's still only February, but I'm just curious.

Once PS3 games go away, then I probably would go for it. Just can't upgrade at this moment. My next big purchase will be a tv

RBI Baseball 14....quick thoughts...

Bought the game on the PSN last night.

NEGATIVES...It is really bare bones.  You can't change your lineup.  You don't warm-up pitchers in the bull-pen before bringing them in.  There are no player ratings.     You can play a season mode that lets you play all 162 games, but it doesn't keep track of stats.  There is no online head-to-head capability.  

POSITIVES....It's really fun and easy to play.   It's all two button mode.  Movement is nice and smooth.  The CPU is challenging, so you won;t get bored beating the CPU 21-0 every game.  I played 3 games, and I lost 2 of them, never scoring more than 5 runs.  I love the simplicity.  

EXTREME NEGATIVES....$19.99.  I don't think the game is worth this price.  If it had online capabilities and kept stats for you, I would have a different opinion.

Doesn't keep stats...that's terrible...games on the original nintendo did that...puff,puff,pass.
