Linebacker Samson Faifili and cornerback Brandon Hollomon, the Kansas City Star reported, are no longer listed on the team’s roster. The Eagle writes that “[a] Kansas football official confirmed that Faifili and Hollomon were correctly removed from the roster but had no official comment about their departures.”

Ex-Terps WR headed to Jayhawks
Less than a week after it was reported that he would be leaving Maryland, Nigel King has found a landing spot. According to Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star, King has decided to transfer into the Kansas football program.
Not only that, but King has already climbed to No. 2 on the Jayhawks’ depth chart.
Because the 6-3, 210-pound King is a graduate transfer, he’s eligible to play immediately in 2014. As evidenced by his current placement on the depth chart, King will have the opportunity to earn a starting job right out of the gate, or at the least be an immediate contributor coming off the bench.

Re: Kansas 2014 news
In a press release, Kansas head coach Charlie Weis announced that Dylan Admire has decided to forego his final two seasons of collegiate eligibility and give up football. The reason? Admire wants to concentrate on the student part of student-athlete.
Admire played in 16 games the past two seasons, including two starts at center in 2013. He had been moved from the offensive line to tight end before his decision to retire from the sport.

Re: Kansas 2014 news
Sept. 13 last year, Kansas announced that Kevin Short, a projected starter at cornerback, was declared ineligible by the NCAA due to some type of academic issue.
Nearly a year later, the Jayhawks revealed they won’t have the likely secondary contributor at their disposal for the second season in a row.
Head coach Charlie Weis announced Tuesday that Short will not play for KU in 2014. Weis declined to go into the specifics of the player’s decision to leave the program.
