Love this pick up
The big surprise was the signing of former Point Loma standout Christian Heyward, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound defensive tackle who originally signed with USC. Heyward redshirted the 2011 season, then had shoulder surgery. He played five games for the Trojans in 2012 then, according to Rivals, transferred to a local junior college in 2013. He was a former Rivals four-star recruit.

Quarterback Adam Dingwell won't return to play for San Diego State following back surgery. Dingwell started for the Aztecs through the second half of 2012 but lost the job in the second game of the 2013 season

He is probably hanging out with Ricky Williams. He really limited himself by not participating, then stating he is only to play for Seattle. The NFL draft advisory board told him he would be an undrafted free agent and he still came out. He isn't even listed in the Top 400 prospects. Bad choices.

Re: San Diego St 2014 news
The depth behind Oregon starting quarterback Marcus Mariota has taken a hit this offseason, which we have previously touched on. Damion Hobbs and Jake Rodrigues previously were reported to be transferring out of the program, and now it is reported Rodrigues will be moving to San Diego State.
According to a report by Aztec Sports Report, Rodrigues made an official visit to the Mountain West Conference program last Thursday and made his decision on Friday while having dinner with the coaching staff. The official paperwork has reportedly been completed, meaning Rodrigues will be moving to San Diego State.
Rodrigues must sit out the 2014 season due to NCAA transfer rules. He will be eligible to play in 2015 and have two years of eligibility remaining.

Re: San Diego St 2014 news
Late this past week, San Diego State head coach Rocky Long confirmed to the San Diego Union-Tribune that running back Lucky Radley has joined the Aztecs football program. As a graduate transfer, Radley, who will be a walk-on, will play in 2014 and use his final season of collegiate eligibility.
No reason was given for Radley’s decision to transfer from Utah earlier this offseason. Radley did not participate in spring practice with the Utes due to what was described by the program as a shoulder injury.
As a redshirt sophomore last season, Radley rushed for 284 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 80 yards and another score.
Following the 2013 season, the conference’s coaches named him honorable mention All-Pac-12.

Re: San Diego St 2014 news
Yes!
San Diego State already knew they’d have linebacker Jake Fely for the 2014 season. Now they know they’ll have the defensive leader around for a little longer than that as well.
In a press release, the Aztecs announced that Fely has been granted a sixth-year waiver request by the NCAA. Fely had already been granted a medical redshirt for the 2010 season after he suffered a lacerated liver that cost him all but the first three games of that year.
