Utah Post Spring Depth Chart Empty Utah Updated Summer Roster 6-13-2011

Post by utahby5 Mon Jun 27, 2011 3:34 pm

Not too many changes from the post spring roster, but there are a few.

Incoming freshman have been added.
Walk-ons like OG Benji Kemoeatu and OG Po'u Palelei have been added.
DE Eric Dago has left the team.
QB Griff Robles has moved to LB.

Additional changed will most likely occur when fall camp starts up.

Utah Post Spring Depth Chart Empty Offensive Breakdown

Post by zwhitaker Fri Jul 01, 2011 5:36 pm

Offensive Ratings Breakdown:

QB's: 3 Jordan Wynn - Not a very mobile guy; will benefit from switch to pro style offense. Overall Rating in the high 80's/low 90's.
13 Tyler Shreve - He is more of an athlete than Jordan and can run it. Has a cannon for an arm, but has some accuracy issues. Overall Rating in the high 70's/low 80's.
Jon Hays - A JC walk-on brought in to add depth to the position. Overall Rating somewhere in the mid to high 60's.

RB's: 21 Harvey Langi - 4* rated out of high school, looks like he can be a solid overall back with speed and power components. Overall Rating in the mid 80's.
15 John White IV - JUCO back that could be the starter. Comparable to Jacquizz Rogers as he is a "small" guy but very speedy. Overall Rating in the mid 80's.
22 Thretton Palamo - A converted rugby player, he is a powerful runner with speed. His rugby film is insane and for a brief time he was the starter during spring. Overall Rating in the low 80's.
44 Lucky Radley - Lucky is a guy we heard a lot about last year, but with these new guys he has sort of been buried in the depth chart. Overall Rating low to mid 70's.
Jarrell Oliver - Looks like a promising prospect coming out of high school. More power it seems, but he does have some wheels. Overall Rating in the low 70's.

FB: 38 Karl Williams - He is a good blocker and can run it. Overall Rating high 70's/low 80's.
82 Jake Murphy - Jake is a FB/TE hybrid type player. Strong blocker with good hands, don't expect him to run it too often. Overall Rating high 70's/low 80's.

WR: 10 Devonte Christopher - A guy with great speed and soft hands. Overall Rating mid to high 80's.
8 Anthony Denham - He has good size and looks like he could be a playmaker. Overall Rating low to mid 80's.
6 Dres Anderson - Great hands with some good wheels. Overall rating in the high 70's.
14 Reggie Dunn - Reggie is one of the fastest players on the team. Mostly saw the field as a kick returner last year, but look for that to change. Overall rating high 70's.
11 Luke Matthews - Another guy with good size and doesn't drop a lot of passes. Overall rating in the mid 70's.
88 Dexter Ransom - Didn't see the field that much last year, but had a solid spring. Overall rating in the low to mid 70's.
2 Kenneth Scott - Last fall it looked like he could be a real playmaker, but injuries forced him to sit out. Should be fully recovered. Overall rating low to mid 70's.
Travis Still - Travis looks like he will be a over the middle, possession type guy. 3* out of high school, most likely will RS. Overall rating in the low 70's.
16 Griff McNabb - A pretty small guy with good speed, probably will only be on the field for special teams and returner. Overall rating high 60's.
Charles Henderson - A 2* receiver in high school, but had a very strong senior year. He is a very fast guy with 4.4 recorded in high school. Overall rating mid to high 60's.

TE: 81 Kendrick Moeai - Kendrick is more of a receiving tight end than a blocker, and has good speed for his position. Overall rating in the mid 80's.
89 Dallin Rogers - He can block and catch, decent speed, and he doesn't drop the ball much. Overall rating high 70's/low 80's.
80 Westlee Tonga - Had a good spring and looks like he could be a solid player for the offense. Overall rating in the low to mid 70's.

LT: 77 John Cullen - One of the leaders on the offensive line, Cullen had a good junior year and is looking to improve even more. Overall rating mid to high 80's.
56 Kapua Sai - Kapua is the utility man on the line as he can play all 3 positions. Had a good spring. Overall rating mid 70's.

LG: 74 Sam Brenner - He can play both tackle and guard, I believe this is his first year as a starter. Overall rating high 70's/low 80's.
76 Jeremiah Tofaeono - Jeremiah challenged Brenner for the starting job in spring, and is a solid player. Overall rating mid to high 70's.
73 Samu Sitake - Samu had a good outing in spring, but is sort of buried in the depth chart. Overall rating low 70's.

C: 54 Tevita Stevens - Tevita played guard last year due to the senior talent at center. He's played center in games before, and will do just fine. Overall rating mid to high 80's.
64 Vyncent Jones - Looks like he will be a good player when he gets his shot. Overall rating mid 70's.

RG: 79 Percy Taumoelau - One of the younger guys on the offense, he had a great spring and won the starting job. Overall rating low 80's.
57 Isaac Asiata - As a true freshman, he came in spring and nearly won the starter job. Overall rating high 70's.
68 Benji Kemoeatu - He is a big guy at 350 lbs and a JC transfer. He wasn't there in spring so we will see how he performs this fall. Overall rating mid 70's.

RT: 70 Tony Bergstrom - Tony, along with Cullen, is one of the leaders of this line. Has a lot of experience and is a solid player. Overall rating mid 80's.
78 Daniel Nielson - Had a strong spring as a true freshman, and could start the 2012 season. Overall rating mid to high 70's.

Utah Post Spring Depth Chart Empty Re: Utah Post Spring Depth Chart

Post by gator3guy Mon Jul 04, 2011 1:57 am

No offense, but with the new stretched out ratings those ratings are too high.

HB#22 is Sausan Sakerin (no longer with team)(Change to Thretton Palamo 6'2 237 Soph.)
HB#38 is Beau Burton (change to John White IV 5'9 190 Jr.)
HB#29 is Harvey Langi (solid rating to start)
SS#42 is Juco transfer Keith McGill. (4.4 speed could use a bump)(expected to start)
