CB Cliff Harris suspended indefinitely http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6665827
Re: Oregon News
though this can change
but he is definitely suspended for the first game vs. LSU
are u going to completely kick him off the roster.... or drop ratings .... or take him out on the depth chart ?
how is this going to work ?

wow
David Smoak of ESPN-Central Texas is reporting that running back Lache Seastrunk is filing paperwork today and asking for a transfer from the Ducks. Smoak is told that Seastrunk’s likely destination is Baylor.
24/7Sports.com subsequently confirmed Smoak’s report, writing that Seastrunk “has been granted his release paperwork.”

Re: Oregon News
CB #28 Scott Grady has decided to transfer from Oregon. The Oregon athletic department confirmed it this afternoon. The correct changes to the Oregon roster are reflected in the "Oregon roster" thread on the Oregon team page. I also added a note re: the player who should replace Grady on the "Oregon roster" thread.

Re: Oregon News
Just got this update on the Ducks....not sure if it will stick but B Bennett and Dior Mathis may have new numbers
WR was going without Blake Cantu and Josh Huff again today, although Huff was in shells following the group around. Curtis White was absent again. Word on the street is we will not see White and Cantu play for a long time but this has not been verified by Oregon.
Dior Mathis has been working out the last three days with the WR group. He looks like a DB working out with the WR group at this point although his speed and athleticism are both very good.
Due to the player move, Bryan Bennett now wears #2 and Mathis #3 so that Mathis and Troy Hill (who is also #2) can be on the field at the same time on special teams.
Ranking the receivers after two weeks of camp:
1. Lavasier Tuinei - Solid practices every day, catches all the balls thrown to him right now.
2. Justin Hoffman - Steady Eddie.
3. Rahsaan Vaughn - In my opinion the most ready of the new WR's to play right away.
4. Daryle Hawkins - Very surprisingly good as a pure or slot WR. Great ability to go get the football in traffic.
5. Devon Blackmon - You can't teach speed, and he can run routes too.
6. Will Murphy - Another steady-Eddie who doesn't make mistakes that hurt you.
7/8 Tacoi Sumler and B.J. Kelley - Redshirt if possible.
9. Eric Dungy - Can be used but must thicken his frame to earn more PT.
I'm probably forgetting somebody but that's my list.

Re: Oregon News
Looks good. I guess until there's confirmation that Dior's sticking to defense, I'd just leave the numbers how they are (even if he does move there for the season, I'd still suggest keeping the #'s how they are on the roster...mostly to avoid turning this in to a ridiculous Rubik's Cube for Luv haha).

Confirmed today he is headed to Appalachian State who might be moving up to FBA next season. They should, they have had a nice run the last few years, they always put out great athletes.

Re: Oregon News
Oregon head coach Chip Kelly named redshirt freshman Marcus Mariota the program's starting QB Friday.
The decision is somewhat unexpected, since Mariota's competition, sophomore Bryan Bennett, was believed to have the edge since he has actual game experience (46 passing attempts last season). However, Mariota was much better during offseason activities, specifically in the school's spring game. Kelly previously mentioned that he would be open to the idea of using a two quarterback system, but if the Ducks plan to stick with Mariota for the long haul Bennett may end up transferring.

Re: Oregon News
As if the season-ending injuries to safety John Boyett wasn’t enough, Oregon got more bad injury news on Monday regarding offensive lineman Carson York.
York left practice on crutches and confirmed to media members that he’s out for the year with a broken right kneecap. York was injured during last Saturday’s game against Fresno State, though he said Monday that he’s not sure if the injury is related to the one he sustained in the 2012 Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin. The senior added that he is set for surgery on Tuesday.
The losses of both Boyett and York can’t be understated. York was a starter along the Ducks’ O-line for a majority of the past three years after redshirting in 2008. This year, he was named to the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy preseason watch lists.
Boyett was also a mult-year starter at safety and was one of the leaders of the Ducks defense.

Re: Oregon News
Less than a week after reports first surfaced that he would be transferring from Oregon, Devon Blackmon has apparently found a new football home.
And,as it turns out, he’ll remain in the same conference and the same division as well.
According to 247Sports.com website DuckTerritory.com, the wide receiver intends to transfer to Washington. The Huskies have yet to confirm Blackmon’s intentions.

Re: Oregon News
Long's career ends
Kyle Long‘s career at Oregon has been anything but lengthy. Now, he won’t get an opportunity to try to play one more year with the Ducks.
Per the Eugene Register-Guard, Long has been denied another year of eligibility from the NCAA. That means next month’s Fiesta Bowl against Kansas State will be Long’s last game with the Ducks. Long has yet to comment on the matter officially.

Bryan Bennett to transfer
Less than two weeks ago, a report surfaced that, after much consideration, Bryan Bennett had decided to remain at Oregon. That report came after Bennett was all but out the door in August before staying, as well as late last month that he was once again strongly considering a transfer.
According to DuckTerritory.com, and confirmed through two sources close to the situation, Bennett has decided once again to leave the Ducks. Bennett will transfer to Southeastern Louisiana, the website says, where he will enroll as early as this week.

Oregon dismisses DB
The university sent out a release on Saturday announcing that Helfrich has booted redshirt sophomore defensive back James Scales for — what else? — an unspecified violation of team rules.
