Michigan has a few transfers

Already dealing with the losses of two former defensive players Ray Vinopal and Cullen Christian, who will be transferring to Pitt, it looks as though Michigan will be losing another player to transfer as well — this time on the offensive side of the ball.

According to Wolverines beat writer Michael Rothstein of the Ann Arbor News, Michigan wide receiver D.J. Williamson has been granted release from his scholarship and will pursue other playing opportunities, a program spokesperson confirmed today.

Michigan loses CB, leaves program

A university spokesman confirmed Thursday morning that reserve junior cornerback Terrence Talbott has left the football program.

The 5-foot-11, 178-pound Talbott -- from Huber Heights, Ohio -- played in all 13 games for Michigan in 2010, including 11 appearances at cornerback as a true freshman.

Michigan redshirt freshman OL Chris Bryant will miss the 2012 season after fracturing his tibia.

Also, freshman Kaleb Ringer will miss the season after deciding to redshirt following season-ending knee surgery. Neither was expected to play a big role, but injuries can always force players onto the field, and this certainly weakens the Wolverines' depth.

Michigan loses WR to transfer

Michigan serves as the latest team to suffer some level of attrition, with the school confirming Friday that wide receiver Jerald Robinson has decided to leave the Wolverines football program. No specific reason for the departure was given.
