Does anyone have a special strategy doing ultimate team? My offense is great, but my defense is lacking. What are the extensions for?

Is this game mode any good? It kinda looked like another EA bullshit addition when they first announced it. I keep on seeing the Bo Jackson card on the main menu. I love it, it is a lot of fun and the weekly challenges are tough...especially the ESPN all Miami team
