USC RB facing discipline … Southern California RB Marc Tyler, a second-tier prospect for the 2012 draft, is awaiting possible disciplinary action for his alleged role in two recent off-the-field incidents. Tyler, USC‘s leading rusher last fall, recently appeared at a hearing before the school’s Office of Student Judicial Affairs in regard to the incidents in which he allegedly spit on a female student while intoxicated and another in which he allegedly inappropriately touched another female student at a bar near campus. Tyler reportedly admitted the first incident but has disputed the second. According to the Great Blue North Draft Report

Here’s what Markeith Ambles last 11 or so months at USC has consisted of: played in the first four games as a true freshman; declared academically ineligible for the remainder of the 2010 season; left the program mid-year; returned in January; and, finally, was almost booted from the team during spring practice.

Well, as it turns out, not exactly “finally”.

The school announced Tuesday night on its official football Twitter account that the wide receiver has been officially declared academically ineligible and will not play during the 2011 season.

True FR Marqise Lee should replace Ambles. Lee has been tearing it up in camp and he may be the #3 WR to start the season.

ust under 90 days from the start of the college football season, USC finally has their roster in line with the scholarship reductions imposed by the NCAA.

The school announced today that reserve quarterback Jesse Scroggins will transfer, a move that had been making its way through the rumor mill for a while now.

"Penn State running back Silas Redd met with USC coach Lane Kiffin for three hours in Connecticut on Thursday and a source said "it went really well."" Apparently any Penn St. player who wished to transfer from the program would be eligible to play immediately.

That would be a great offense if USC got him, probably best in the country.

But bad news losing Kennard for the year

It can’t come as a shock to anyone based on the rumors and speculation over the past week or so, but Penn State running back Silas Redd is indeed transferring to USC.

Redd’s father, Silas Sr., confirmed the transfer to ESPN’s Joe Schad. Other local outlets were able to confirm the news as well with USC and Redd issuing official statements.

Darreus Rogers will likely not qualify to join USC this season.

Isiah Wiley transfers from USC

On Friday, Lane Kiffin announced that cornerback Isiah Wiley was ruled academically ineglible by the NCAA, meaning the senior would miss this season at USC or any other school within the NCAA’s jurisdiction. As a result, Wiley has reportedly enrolled in classes at Belhaven University, per an official within the university’s athletic department.

Freshman WR Darreus Rogers may have lost his spot on USC's roster after coaches gave walk-on punter Kyle Negrete a scholarship.

Rogers failed to qualify academically, so with his scholarship in jeopardy, he may end up transferring away from the program. The freshman was a four-star prospect, but a year of junior college may be his best option. The Trojans have no issues, in terms of young depth, at the receiver position.
