Maryland Depth Chart Empty Re: Maryland Depth Chart

Terps recently released their post-spring depth charts.

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/md/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/depth-chart.pdf

This doesn't include the few recent departures listed in the new section. It seems that Maryland will be playing some sort of hybrid 3-4, 3-3-5, 4-2-5 Defense this year. The players at the ROCK position are all DE/LB Hybrids who specialize in rushing the passer and the ones at the STAR position are all Safeties. Most people say to move Tate to LB but you could also leave him at Safety and make MDs D a 3-3-5 or 4-2, but we really won't know what they plan on doing until the season starts since Edsall doesn't want to reveal his plans.

Also another link with some information on players and their new roles which I will post and paste in the new section as well. A few DBs moving to RB with the departure of Gary Douglas and other things.

Finally, the "4th" String QB Tyler Smith(rsFr) would be a solid addition to the Terps. He has quite of bit of potential and was expected to be in the running for starter until Danny O'Brien tore the ACC up last year and went on to ACC Rookie of the Year. Personally I think he and Troy Jones are better then CJ Brown, who has the 2nd string QB title due more so to being a Soph and not a Fresh like the other two.

Thanks for all the work on the rosters!

I'm pretty sure Tyler Smith transferred to Elon.
