Oklahoma redshirt sophomore Kendal Thompson announced that he will transfer after he graduates in May.

It's not surprising, as Thompson was set to languish behind Trevor Knight and Blake Bell on the depth chart once again in 2014. Thompson should be granted immediate eligibility to play next fall because he will graduate this spring. If that's the case, he'd have two years of eligibility remaining.

Oklahoma’s Blake Bell has decided to move to tight end, Sooners head coach Bob Stoops confirmed on Wednesday. The decision clears the way for Trevor Knight to solidify his status as OU’s starting quarterback.

The Daily Oklahoman confirmed through Oklahoma officials Friday that Trey Franks has decided to not return to the Sooners for his final season of eligibility. Even as Franks has graduated from OU and would be free to transfer to another FBS program and play immediately, there’s no indication from the report that’s the path he’ll choose.

According to The Oklahoman, Natrell Curtis, a 6-3 325-pound offensive lineman out of Pheonix, AZ will not make it to Norman as a part of the 2014 class. Instead, Curtis is taking the JUCO route

Former Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, who was dismissed from the Tigers football team in April, is poised to join the University of Oklahoma football team, Oklahoma announced Thursday. He is not expected to be eligible to play until 2015 but can enroll in classes at the university and participate in team activities.

Oklahoma is without one more member of the Class fo 2014 this summer. Safety Vontre McQuinnie has been officially removed from the football roster this week

The Oklahoma Sooners will be without the services of five-star running back recruit Joe Mixon this season.

The university released a statement Monday which detailed a year-long suspension for Mixon.

The dream of playing for the Oklahoma Sooners will soon become a reality for defensive end Dalton Rodriguez. Rodriguez is transferring to Oklahoma from Tulsa after being dismissed by the Golden Hurricane. Rodriguez was dismissed by Tulsa for a violation of team rules back in March.

Rodriguez will be forced to sit out the 2014 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but plans to work hard to earn a scholarship from Oklahoma in 2015.

The fate of wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham has been decided by the NCAA.

Green-Beckham transferred to Oklahoma in July after Missouri dismissed the talented receiver due to multiple off-the-field incidents. Oklahoma filed an appeal on Green-Beckham’s behalf last week. The NCAA officially denied the appeal Friday.

Those holding their breath waiting for defensive tackle Quincy Russell to make an impact on Oklahoma’s defensive line can now stop. It’s clear now that Russell’s impact is never going to materialize, and we don’t want anyone passing out on us.

Russell posted on Facebook Monday morning that he had been kicked off the team. “Well good bye Oklahoma. Time to find a new home,” he wrote. In a comment on his own post, Russell wrote, “I didn’t do nothing bro the [expletive] said I was a cancer to the team.”

Oklahoma’s wide receiver depth just got a tiny bit more shallow Wednesday night. Dannon Cavil, a redshirt freshman, has decided to leave the Sooners in search of a potential transfer.
