Re: TCU 2014 news
A day after reports said TCU wide receiver LaDarius Brown was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession, the Horned Frogs decided to cut ties. According to a report by the Star-Telegram, the school confirmed the decision through a release.
“Due to a violation of team rules, LaDarius Brown has been removed from our football program,” TCU athletics said in a release.

The latest to be hit by attrition at the quarterback position is apparently TCU, with Tyler Matthews seeming to confirm via a tweet posted to his personal Twitter account that he has decided to pack up leave the Horned Frogs football program.

Re: TCU 2014 news
The career of senior WR Brandon Carter at TCU is likely over, according to a report by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Carter was arrested in April for possession of marijuana, but it's academics that are keeping him off the field.
According to TCU head coach Gary Patterson, Carter “will not make it” this season due to poor grades and the coach believes that it's time for the wide receiver and TCU to part ways.

Re: TCU 2014 news
2014 four-star TCU RB likely done for year
The lone four-star member of TCU’s 2014 recruiting class likely won’t see the field at all this season.
During practice last week, Shaun Nixon suffered what takes on the appearance of a rather significant knee injury. Because of that injury, the running back will be forced to undergo surgery to repair the unspecified damage.
Also because of that injury, it doesn’t appear Nixon’s head coach is expecting to see the true freshman on the field at all in 2014.

Re: TCU 2014 news
Former Nebraska defensive tackle Aaron Curry “always wanted to play in the Big 12” Conference. Obviously, he initially missed his opportunity by a couple of years once the Cornhuskers joined the Big Ten Conference in 2011. But he won’t make the same mistake twice.
Curry has decided to transfer to TCU, according the ESPN.com‘s Joe Schad.
Curry did have the option to play in the Big 12 when he was recruited. The defensive lineman held offers from the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas State Wildcats. Obviously, those weren’t great fits for Curry at the time. TCU, meanwhile, will give him an opportunity to potentially start after he sits out the 2014 campaign due to NCAA transfer rules.
