There are some nights, after a few drinks, where I proclaim to the world (people at the bar), that I wish Lane Kiffin was our coach, and not Todd Graham. In fact, I felt bad for Kiffin after we beat USC earlier this year, and he was subsequently fired. In some ways, I feel personally responsible for his departure.

I think Kiffin never deserved to be fired. It may be that listening to him every week for a hour influenced my view, but he is very likeable. His offensive mind is boundless, which makes it reasonable that Saban would take a flyer on him.

I knew it would never happen, but I was interested in Sark saying that he wanted Kiffin to come back as the OC. Haden would have never allowed that to happen and I doubt Kiffin would suck up his pride and take the OC position, like Ed O not willing to be assistant head coach to Sark.
