Lose a TE to transfer
The school confirmed Wednesday that sophomore Ty Flournoy-Smith was transferring from the program. It’s not exactly certain where he’ll go, but it appears the JUCO route is the early favorite. Bulldogs coach Mark Richt even said there’s a possibility Smith could return to the team at a later point.

Re: Georgia 2013 news
Georgia’s secondary has been taking some hits lately. Earlier this month, the school confirmed freshman defensive back Reggie Wilkerson would miss the season because of a knee injury.
Now, another Bulldog, freshman safety Paris Bostick, is out for the year because of toe surgery for an injury he sustained during his senior season at Tampa Plant High School. He’ll take a redshirt season and have four years of eligibility beginning in 2014.

Finally, Kolton Houston will get to play football for the Georgia Bulldogs.
The offensive lineman has been serving a suspension since 2010, his first year in Athens, because he tested positive for 19-Norandrosterone, a drug on the NCAA’s banned substance list.
