Re: MW DYNASTY
1) I'm cool with picking bad SEC teams.
2) I have trouble with AF, but that is just because I don't like putting 8 in the box, which you have to do to stop them. As you can tell by our last user game, I have trouble stopping teams that like to pound the ball. My comfort level is at its premium when I play teams that like to pass.
3) I love to use cover 4 on third and long. The thing that sucks about cover 4, is two-fold. One, if you don't get any pass rush, your safeties are usually left one on one with the WR 40 yards down the field, and they always get lost when the ball is in the air. Second, the deep dig routes are killer, because the middle linebacker is the only person in the middle. Also, the running back coming out of the backfield on a delay kills this coverage. If your MLB misses the tackle, the HB gains an automatic 20 yards it seems. That being said, 9 times out of 10, cover 4 works for me on third/fourth and long.

Re: MW DYNASTY
okay, sounds good. After we finish the MWC dynasty, we could try out a new dynasty. I think we could survive decently in Heisman with better players but won't dominate because of the competition.
I always love playing Air Force....unless the TE gets behind my safety on a play action pass.

Shit, TE's are ALWAYS open on PA plays, no? Any PA with the TE doing a corner route is money, out of any formation.

not really in the 3-4. Usually a LB will follow the TE or a safety will come down to cover that route. It is usually more so the PA TE post route that has them open when you put 7 or 8 in the box

I was thinking about using Kentucky for our SEC dynasty, interesting offense to run. I think Vandy, Miss St, Ole Miss, and possibly Arkansas should be the teams we choose from based on ratings.

Vandy sounds good, but they are in the same division. The SEC West is stacked with good teams. If you don't mind being in the same division, then I'll take Vandy, but if you want to have separate divisions, then I'll take Ole Miss or Ark, which ever is rated lowest.

Re: MW DYNASTY
We could also just swap out a team. I don't mind going to the SEC West so we still have an opportunity to meet in the SEC title game (doubt that will happen in Heisman mode).
Or maybe a SEC team and a ACC team and make sure they play once a year. Just throwing out options.

I kinda like the idea of being in the same division. For one, the user game will mean a ton more, and recruiting will be more interesting. I also like the idea of being an SEC team, because every game will be tough.

Beat Utah St 42-21 despite 3 lost fumbles. Again, another MWC QB picked apart my secondary. it is like their awareness doubled this year.

UNM 14 FS 12
Another solid defensive performance. Next up, UTEP. The showdown with SDSU looms.

Do you think we can handle the SEC dynasty at Heisman level?

Re: MW DYNASTY
The question, my friend, should be, is the SEC ready to handle us!? We've been training for the past 4 months in the snow capped Sandia Mountains, the true art of football. We've been inculcated in the shadows of Cowles Mountain, the finer points of NCAA 14. I declare today, GoAztecs, they we are fully prepared, to face the behemoths of the Southeastern Conference.GoAztecs wrote:Do you think we can handle the SEC dynasty at Heisman level?

Re: MW DYNASTY
haha, okay, got it.
Beat BYU last night, 23-14
Defense played great, two goalline stands. I am not sure what was up with my team's stamina, I was playing with 3rd stringers by halftime. Was 17-14 till late in the 4th but I was pissed at them injuring two guys for the year, so I went for the TD

You have to put 11 in the box to stop the run against SDSU. It works, but you are vulnerable to the pass. If my LB's were better, I think I might have pulled it off, but we were always a step behind, and we could not make the tackle when necessary. Offensively, we played like I expected....not able to run the ball, but still able to pass when needed. Overall, we need to get better at RB and at LB, but it looks like we are running out of time.

Re: MW DYNASTY
I do have to admit that I wasn't pushing for the 3rd TD because I wanted it to be a good game, and settled for a FG to make it 17-0. Regret that move when you made your push in the game, almost cost me. Your defense is a lot better than it has been in the past. Offensively, your TE is a beast and your QB ran the read option well.
Was frustrating that my RB decided to not come back on the field after the first quarter. Have to ask, Gary Patton, #20, created name by you for Gary Payton?

GP...THE GLOVE! Coincidence...Gary Payton is my favorite BB player of all time. Gary Patton is a recruit, who's name was generated by EA. He sucks, but I have to roll with him this year and next year.

That hit that my safety laid on your WR inside the 10 in the 4th was fuckin awesome! Your WR did a helicopter spin, and would been nice to see a fumble.

Yeah, I took a risk trying to jump over him, thankfully I didnt fumble. Should have probably tried to truck him instead. Made for a fun looking hit though.zoon wrote:That hit that my safety laid on your WR inside the 10 in the 4th was fuckin awesome! Your WR did a helicopter spin, and would been nice to see a fumble.

I'll be on pretty much all day today, and most of tomorrow if you want to get multiple games in. I'm going to Cali Sunday and Monday, so after tomorrow, the next advance won't be until Tuesday. Just letting you know.
